Thank you to Doris and Bill Mengel and Bob Brodigan for installing the new bench in front of the city readerboard. This is a very nice donation and has already been used as a bus stop now that the transportation district is looping the north bound bus up and around Seventh St. and down Sixth St. Eventually -- if granting allows -- a new transportation plaza is planned for the corner of Sixth and Acacia.
Doris -- as the Garibaldi Urban Renewal Agency Vice Chair -- has also been a huge help in narrowing down the street scape amenities (lamp posts, benches, trash cans and planters) for Garibaldi Ave. The GURA will be reviewing the selections and may be selecting which styles will be used on Garibaldi Ave. as re-development occurs.
